Love With You Life
By: Kenya Gossett

What does it mean to truly love others?
The Word says in Leviticus 19:18 (as well as in the Gospels): "You shall not take revenge or bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord."

Neighbor in Biblical use means: any person in need of one's help or kindness.

It's a concept and commandment by God Himself, that not very many are willing to grasp. Truly loving someone, no matter who they are or what they have done, requires sacrifice, unselfishness and grace upon grace. We will find quickly in this world, that everyone is far from perfect. The world is filled with hurting individuals, that need to be drenched in love. They need light.
That's where we as Born Again believers step in. We have the opportunity to change the game by loving people back to life. That's what Jesus did for us! So why is it so hard for us to do the same?

I've seen the axe of correction and a spirit of legalism try to deal with the souls of people, but it's always brought the same results. Bondage and death. It's a vicious cycle that God is calling to an end! Does He want us to become tolerant and condone deception? Absolutely not.
But His Word calls for love to be shown in an abundance to our brethren, strangers and better yet, our "enemies".

I can honestly say that my heart is filled with an overwhelming love, not only for those who are in need or who have strayed, but for those who have even come against me unjustly. They need the same loving kindness and mercy God has shown me.
Getting to this place of freedom has been a process and a tough one at that, but I sure have learned a beautiful, humbling lesson and have experienced the true love of Jesus through it.

But one of the greatest lessons I have learned is this: when you learn how to forgive and love like Christ, it may not change the person or their way of thinking, but it will change you in a deep and real way. You see, God is more concerned over your own heart and how you react, than He is with the individual who caused the pain. So when you allow yourself to be broken before the Lord and you lay down your own life, you will begin to operate in a love that is powerful.
It will free you.

People don't need sermons shoved down their throat of what they are doing wrong. They don't need their mistakes displayed before the world. They don't need hatred for the heartache they may have caused. They don't need to be pushed away and treated like outcasts. They need the healing power of God! They need a pure, unconditional love that will be patient! They need a forgiving heart that will look past the mistake and see the root of their pain! They need someone to actually take time to care for their soul!
Love is supposed to cover a multitude of sin.

One of the best definitions of love that we have is in 1 Corinthians 13. It's so simple but there's so much depth to it.

“Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:4-8‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

"It believes the best of every person".
I don't know about you, but I love speaking life into someone's destiny. I always look for the good in people.
Everyone has a gift that God could use greatly, even in our "enemies". But in order to walk in that belief: We have to exchange our judgmental vision, to a Heavenly love vision. and our religious mindset, to one of grace, hope and peace. We have no idea of the bondage and weariness that people carry on a day to day basis. Everyone is fighting a secret battle, crying out for deliverance. Their dry bones need to be spoken to!

Beloved, ask God for a lens change and you'll be amazed by the results you will see. Prodigals will return. Souls will be saved. and enemies will begin to honor you. If you want to see a change, you've got to love with your life. Lead them to the cross that saved you.

So I urge you today: start reaching out to the ones who are the hardest to reach. Bless those who are in need. Be generous. Hold nothing back. Let His love surround you.
Be rooted deep and secure yourself in the love of Christ. Watch it spring forth and flood those who are hopeless. Amen?

"Beloved, let us (unselfishly) love and seek the best for one another, for love is from God, and everyone who loves others is born of God and knows God (through personal experience). The one who does not love has not been acquainted with God (does not and never did know Him), for God is love. (He is the originator of love and it is an enduring attribute of His nature). By this love of God was displayed in us, in that God has sent His one and only begotten Son, into the world so that we might LIVE through Him." 1 John 4:7-9 AMP

There's a song that Melody and I have made our anthem called "Love With Your Life" by Hollyn. Listen to it today- be inspired- and love, love, love. For there's a hope that lives in you!

In His Love, Kenya-Nicole
