Frontline Worship
By Kenya Gossett
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, (contending only with physical opponents), but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this (present) darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.” Ephesians 6:10 AMP
As we are taking new ground in the Spirit and invading the camps of the enemy, the battle is intensifying. The principalities over our cities and in people, are manifesting. There are powers in the air that we can not see; bringing an oppression and weariness. The attacks have grown and hit every believer who is growing in the power of God’s might. but why? Because they know their time is short. They also see the remnant rising up to take their place. The remnant that is about to bring revival.
One by one, we are rising from the ashes of defeat. We are shaking off the dust. We have a new back bone, that has made us to stand straight, confident and fierce. Our eyes are fixed, with a fire burning deep inside that can not be quenched. We are renewed because in our season of weariness, we kneeled in the presence of Yahweh. We surrendered to the holy ground, where He gave instruction. Wisdom. Courage. and new armor for the task ahead.
Carefully read these next few verses and apply them to yourself.
Ephesians 6:13-17 AMP
13- Therefore put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to (successfully) resist and stand your ground in the evil day (of danger), and having done everything (that the crisis demands), to stand firm, (in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious.)
14- So stand firm and hold your ground, having tightened the wide band of truth (personal integrity, moral courage) around your waist and having put on the breastplate of righteousness (an upright heart.) 15- and having strapped on your feet the gospel of peace in preparation (to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news) 16- above all, lift up the (protective) shield of faith which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17- and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
Every attribute and piece of armor listed above, comes from being in the presence of God. You will be transformed when you commune with Him. You will become fully prepared, stable, and ready.
Having a reverence and heart of worship for the champion of Heaven, gives you the confidence to go to war. If you don’t know how to become one with Him and worship Him when the enemy is closing in, you will never know what true victory feels like. You’re greatest weapon will always be the Holy written Word of God, but your next weapon is: worship.
I want to briefly talk about two anointed individuals with warrior blood and veins of worship: Deborah and David.
Deborah was a prophetess. A woman who kept her heart close to God. The only female judge of Israel mentioned in the Bible. I can only imagine how fearless this woman was. She meant business. She stepped up to the plate and let God give her the wisdom to lead successful counter attacks against the forces of Jabin, king of Canaan. But she would of never been able to accomplish that without drawing strength from the One she was closest to. She had the mind of God. She was a heart filled with praise because of the victories before her. All of Judges 5 is a song from this mighty woman of God. She took her worship and faith, and covered the front lines as the army of the Lord carried out His plan.
David was also a worshipper. When he would play, the presence would come down and the spirits that plagued King Saul would flee. He experienced the presence of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob through that and it was out of that passion for the presence, that he had courage. He was able to face the lion and the bear. They had no chance. Neither did this Goliath who taunted them. He refused to back down. He ran towards his enemies, because he knew who fought beside him. He was never, ever alone.
The same applies to us. Now is our time to stand on the frontline, lifting our voices up to Heaven and letting the enemy know who we are. As long as you stay down, the enemy thinks that he has preeminence over you. God did not give us the spirit of fear, or the blood of a coward. We are more than conquerers through Christ Jesus. We have been given authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing can hurt you. (Luke 10:19)
I don’t know what battle you are currently facing or if you are getting ready to pull out the white flag, but God is getting ready to strike the fire for you to be brave. Praise will be on your lips. You will lead successful counter attacks. You will have a strategic mindset. You will lay it on the line without fear. You will be a force to be reckoned with, retrieving everything that was taken from you. When you discover what’s on the inside of you, the enemy will do his hardest to take you out, but it will be impossible at that point.
Beloved, you are not alone. Believers all over the world who have taken new authority and who have gone deeper in the Lord, are getting hit left and right. That is normal. The anointing attracts attack. But praise God with everything in you because the enemy can’t stand when you have a thankful heart in the midst of trials. Arise on your battlefield and run to the frontline with a battle cry of a champion.
You are a born, trained giant killer.
Love and Prayers, Kenya Gossett
