Behold
By: Kenya Gossett
\\Behold: to see or observe a thing or person, especially a remarkable or impressive one. To watch. Observe. Gaze upon.//
I am a firm believer in writing messages that breath hope and life into your spirit. I love reminding you of God's promises and encouraging you that you are going to make it, but today's blog will be a little different. As Melody and I have gone deeper in our walk with the Lord, we have developed a great burden in our spirit for the time we have entered into. God has given us a lens change, showing us that it’s not business as usual. What used to be acceptable, is no longer covered in grace.
We have a responsibility as sisters, friends, and women of God to speak truth according to the Word of God, now more than ever. In a world full of false teachings and those speaking of another gospel, we are going to be different. We are not ones to sugar coat or speak just a feel good message that makes you leave without a true transformation. We are sisters who truly love you and care about your eternal salvation. Someday we are going to have to stand before the Lord and give an account of the word we taught and the life we lived.
We take this very seriously, but in no way do we want to rail or condemn anyone. That’s not our job. None of us is above reproach. It’s the Holy Spirits job to convict. God’s job to judge and our job to love unconditionally through every season.
"As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend."
Proverbs 27:17 NKJV
The work that the Lord is doing in me, is deep. It’s a stirring that not many understand. What I used to be OK with, is something that now grieves my spirit. I have done the best I know how to do in separating myself from compromising, earthly things, worldly music/entertainment, ect. I’m not walking legalistically: I’m walking a walk of someone who has felt the heart of God and of someone who wants to experience the fullness of His presence. I’ve been praying for anguish in my heart for the world, this nation and for the body of believers and oh did I receive it. I listened to a sermon by Brother David Wilkerson called “A Call To Anguish” (that I highly recommend you take the time to listen to) that turned my life upside down. Many would say that it’s too harsh. Legalistic. Religious. That you’re not being free.
When they have no idea that exchanging your heart for the heartbeat of God is the most freeing. It doesn’t mean that you throw out love and that you are holier or better than anyone. It means that you are set apart and different, without condemning. That’s what changes the world.
They shouldn’t see us as vessels who compromise and still have one foot in the world.
Or as ones that have a form of Godliness, but still deny the power thereof just to make others comfortable. No, they need to see something holy. People who will still love them through their mess, but will absolutely not partake of that lifestyle.
A huge shift has taken place in the spirit realm around the world and especially in our nation.
I think many are still shocked of who God put as our President Elect. Yes, it was God’s doing. He heard the prayers of the righteous who were crying out for mercy on this nation. It was evident that His blood was covering us. The time of grace and peace is here. God has given us time to now change our ways, go out, save souls and bring the promised revival. WE are supposed to be the move of God. The harvest is great, but the laborers are few. (Luke 10:2). Are you willing to now say “Here I am Lord, send me”? If we continue to do what we’ve done or live the way we have, we’re going to get the same results.
God is rising from His throne to tell the world and every professing believer that enough is enough. No more games. No more compromising. No more secret sin. No more ties to the ways of this world. No more putting a stamp of approval on things that stem from the tree of the knowledge of good & evil. Either we are all in or we are all out. There's no in between that is acceptable in His sight.
2 Chronicles 7:14:
"and if my people, who are called by My Name, humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from Heaven, and forgive them their sin and heal their land."
We need to arise and do what we’ve been called to do. We need to surrender to the One True God and deny the counterfeit. We need to have a major heart check.
What are we entertaining in our life right now that we know would not only prevent us from saving souls, but that would even alter our eternal destination? What do we need to let go of, in order to walk in a deeper anointing? What do we need to shed light on that we have kept hidden in the dark? This time is critical. I can’t stress it enough.
About a month ago, the Lord visited me in the early hours of the morning, probably around 3:30 or 4. I was abruptly woken up by the sound of someone knocking on our door. I was wearing earplugs at the time (I’m a light sleeper) and was alarmed that I could hear that banging so clearly through them. Once I took the earplugs out, it stopped. There was total silence, until I heard the Lord speak. “Behold, I am at the door. Justice AND Judgment is coming.” He ended there. It shook me to my core.
God is standing at every door. For those who have continued to play with His grace and have not come forth in true repentance, judgment awaits on the other side.
For those who have been wrongfully accused and persecuted, justice is coming for them.
God is not mocked. He is sovereign. He is just. Just as much as He is merciful.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20 NKJV
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
Revelation 3:22 NKJV
See the key word in those scriptures? “If anyone HEARS My voice and OPENS the door.”
If we open the door to Him today, He will be faithful to forgive us of our sins. He will be faithful to vindicate us. He will come in to us and dine with us. I know that’s all I want. But we can not ignore the warnings and we surely can not keep Him at the door. God is not playing around.
Beloved, surrender and fix what needs to be right with God.
This world needs us. As my sister Melody shared in her last post “Peculiar People” (also a must read) we have been called up and called out. Are we going to answer the call?
Behold, our King is at the door. Choose this day whom you are going to serve. Make the most of the time we have left. We have a 2nd chance. For Such A Time As This.
Love and Prayers, Kenya-Nicole
